1Terms of Service and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Paxior LLC ("Paxior"). They govern your access to and use of the Paxior mobile application, the paxior.org website, and the related features Paxior provides (together, the "Service").
You accept these Terms when you create an account, tap to agree during registration, or use the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Paxior’s Privacy Policy applies to your use of the Service and is part of your agreement with Paxior. Please read it. If a Meetup or feature comes with additional rules, those rules apply along with these Terms.
Paxior may update these Terms. Section 21 explains how. If you keep using the Service after an update takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
2Eligibility and 18-Plus Requirement
The Service is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the Service.
When you register, you confirm that you are 18 or older. You are responsible for that statement. This confirmation is a self-attestation. Paxior does not verify your age, identity, or background, and does not use a paid age-verification service.
Do not create an account for anyone under 18, and do not let a minor use your account. If Paxior learns or reasonably suspects that a user is under 18, Paxior may remove the account and delete associated information consistent with the Privacy Policy.
You also confirm that no law bars you from using the Service and that Paxior has not previously removed or banned you.
3The Paxior Service
Paxior places adults into small, structured, in-person conversations, usually in groups of three or four. Paxior calls a gathering a "Meetup" (shown in the App as a "Table").
Paxior designs the meeting format, which runs about 30 minutes, and assigns roles for each Meetup, including Opener, Timekeeper, Peacekeeper, and Closer. Paxior provides conversation prompts and a shared framework called the "Good Faith Contract," described in Section 7.
Paxior uses system-generated handles. The Service has no real-name profiles, no public posts, and no photo uploads. Paxior uses information you provide, along with its BioMosaic matching approach, to group participants. The Privacy Policy describes the information the matching uses.
Paxior organizes the format and facilitates the experience through the App. Paxior does not host, own, staff, or control the venues where Meetups take place, and does not supervise conversations in person.
4Account Registration, Security, and Accurate Information
You need an account to use most of the Service. You agree to give accurate and current information when you register and to keep it accurate.
You are responsible for your account and for activity that occurs under it. Keep your password confidential. Tell Paxior promptly at founder@paxior.org if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
One person may hold one account. Do not create multiple accounts, share your account, or open an account to get around a suspension or ban. Paxior may refuse registration, reclaim handles, or close duplicate accounts.
Paxior may suspend or close an account if the registration information is false, inaccurate, or incomplete, or if Paxior has reason to believe that use of the account breaks these Terms.
5Community Standards and Prohibited Conduct
Paxior depends on respectful, good-faith participation. You agree to treat other participants with dignity, both in the App and at Meetups.
You agree that you will not:
- Threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate, or bully any person.
- Discriminate against or demean any person based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.
- Engage in sexual misconduct, including unwanted sexual advances, sexual harassment, or sharing sexual content.
- Use the Service or a Meetup to commit, plan, or encourage illegal activity, or to cause injury or property damage.
- Record, photograph, or livestream any participant or conversation without the express consent of everyone involved.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or purpose.
- Solicit, advertise, recruit, or promote products, services, causes, or donations without Paxior's written permission.
- Collect, store, or share another participant's personal information, or keep contacting a participant after that person has asked you to stop.
- Disrupt a Meetup, interfere with the roles or prompts, or keep others from taking part.
- Try to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization, or interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service or gather information about other users.
- File false safety reports or misuse the reporting tools.
These standards apply during Meetups, in any communication the Service supports, and in interactions with other participants that come out of the Service.
6Meetups: Voluntary Participation, Safety, and Personal Responsibility
Meetups happen in the real world, in person, with other adults. Your participation is voluntary. You decide whether to sign up for a Meetup, whether to travel to it, whether to enter the venue, and whether to stay or leave. You may leave a Meetup at any time.
You are responsible for your own safety and conduct. That includes your travel to and from a Meetup, your interactions with other participants, and your read of the venue and your surroundings. Use the judgment you would use meeting anyone new in a public place.
Paxior designs the format and facilitates the experience through the App. Paxior does not screen, verify, or run background checks on participants. Paxior does not supervise Meetups in person, provide security, give emergency or medical response, or control venue conditions. Paxior does not promise that any participant, venue, or Meetup is safe, suitable, or as described.
Other participants are responsible for their own actions. Paxior does not control what other participants do and is not responsible for their conduct, whether at a Meetup or afterward.
If you feel unsafe, leave and contact local emergency services. Report safety concerns to Paxior through the in-app reporting tools or at founder@paxior.org so Paxior can act under Section 8.
7Good Faith Contract and Meetup Rules
Before or during a Meetup, Paxior may ask you to agree to the Good Faith Contract. It sets shared commitments for the conversation, including mutual purpose, mutual respect, honest listening, and taking turns so every voice has room.
You agree to follow the Good Faith Contract and any additional Meetup rules Paxior presents. These rules work together with these Terms. If a Meetup rule addresses a topic and conflicts with these Terms on that topic, the Meetup rule controls for that Meetup.
8Reports, Moderation, Suspension, and Termination
